Learning Objective:
This course is designed as knowledge based introduction to manual handling principles in Care Homes. By the end of this course you will have a better understanding of the principles in client handling safety and taking care of yourself with regards to avoiding back injuries. Do not attempt any client handling within your place of work until you have read the policy and procedure for the Home and been shown how to use appropriate equipment. Most Care Homes now have a ‘No Lifting’ Policy; ensure you know how to handle someone safely.
